Making a Booking

How do I book a taxi with Topps Taxis?

The quickest way to book is by calling us on 0116 2609690 — we're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also email us at Bookings@toppstaxis.co.uk or use the contact form on our website and we'll get back to you promptly.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For most journeys we recommend booking as early as possible to guarantee availability, but we also take last-minute bookings subject to driver availability. For airport transfers and long-distance journeys, we strongly recommend booking at least 24–48 hours in advance.

Can I make a return booking?

Absolutely. We're happy to arrange both legs of your journey at the time of booking. Just let us know your return date and time when you call or enquire.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

For most standard journeys, payment is made at the end of the trip. For long-distance bookings or large group bookings, we may require a deposit to secure the reservation. We'll always make this clear when you book.

Are your fares fixed?

Yes. All our fares are fixed and agreed before your journey begins. The price you're quoted is the price you pay — there are no meters, no surge pricing, and no hidden extras.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and card payments. Please confirm your preferred payment method when booking.

Do you charge extra for early mornings or late nights?

Our 24/7 availability means we're always here when you need us. Please discuss any out-of-hours requirements when booking and we'll confirm your fixed fare at that time.

Which airports do you cover?

We cover every major UK airport including East Midlands, Birmingham, Heathrow (all terminals), Gatwick (North & South), Stansted, Luton, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and more. See our Areas page for the full list.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We monitor all flights in real time. If your flight is delayed, we'll adjust your pickup time accordingly so your driver is there when you actually land — not when you were originally due to arrive.

Do you offer meet and greet at the airport?

Yes. For airport pickups your driver can meet you inside the arrivals hall with a name board, so there's no confusion about where to go. Just let us know when booking.

Is parking and waiting time included?

Yes, a reasonable waiting period is included in your airport transfer fare. We understand arrivals can take time — clearing customs, collecting luggage, and so on.

Are your drivers licensed and checked?

All our drivers hold a valid private hire licence and have passed an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We take passenger safety extremely seriously.

What vehicles do you use?

We operate a range of well-maintained, modern vehicles including saloons and larger vehicles for groups or extra luggage. All vehicles are clean, comfortable, and regularly serviced.

Do you provide accessible vehicles?

Yes. We have fully accessible vehicles available for passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair access. Please let us know your requirements when booking so we can ensure the right vehicle is allocated.

How do your school runs work?

We provide dedicated, consistent school transport with the same driver, the same route, and the same time every day. This builds trust and routine for both children and parents.

Are drivers on school runs specially trained?

Yes. All drivers on school runs are enhanced DBS checked and trained in child safety procedures. We only assign drivers we would trust with our own children.
